Hi All,
They have decided not to get Dad up and have him walk today since his pain block has worked so well. Apparently, when a block works really well it not only keeps you out of pain tremendously well it also numbs your leg--so walking is not a really good option! We prefer he stays in the no pain zone anyway--so we are in no real hurry to unblock the block.
Dad is resting comfortably and making some really crazy and, what some people might think (not me, of course) are some pretty dumb jokes to the nursing staff. So, things are pretty much normal!
All three of us daughters are here with him and mom right now. We are having a good old time. More later.

Nancy, you are doing such a good job of reporting. I'm so glad your Dad is doing well. It is no wonder that he was tearing up his knee. I alwsys knew there was something that wasn't straight about him. He used to tell stories about when we were in school and NO ONE remembered them. Give both your Mom and Dad a hug for me. Love, Janet
