Hi all,
Dad has taken two walks today. One from his bed to just outside his doorway and back and the other from his bed down to the nurses station and back. The physical therapy helped him get his knee to an 80% bend today and they are hoping to go to 90% first thing in the morning. All signs look good at the moment that he will be sent to Thatcher Brook tomorrow afternoon for rehab. If not tomorrow, then on Monday.
His pain level still seems low. I think his shoulders are bothering him worse than his knee! And his shoulders actually do need replacing worse than his knee did; the doctor just said he should have the weight bearing joint replaced first. So, that's what we did. We are hoping the physical therapy for his knee goes smoothly and he can have his worst shoulder done in three months or so.
Dad wants to say THANK YOU to the CLASS OF 1957 for the beautiful flowers! Also, thanks to those of you who have sent cards and made calls. They are cheering him up quite a bit. Thanks for being great friends!
