Went for a drive with Mom and Dad today. Mom needed to stop by the doctor's office for something so Dad wanted to have them weigh him and see how his dieting has paid off. He has done really well. He is down to 250 which is where he wanted to be for surgery.
We also took a drive to check out a rehabilitation facility Dad may use after surgery. Turned out it was a really nice place and is only about 5 miles from our home. Dad will only spend 2-3 days in the hospital but will probably need to go to a rehab facility for 7-10 days after that before he is prepared to come home. I can't remember if I've already told all of you this or not. Oh well.
We are down to one week away from surgery. We will be glad to get him through this. I will keep you posted as to what is happening on this end.
