Hubby's Jury Experience Less Than Stellar

Rob had jury duty the last few days and I guess the trial was pretty serious and overall interesting in the end. He was actually looking forward to going through the process but it got down to the time to deliberate and come to find out Rob ended up being the alternate juror. No one told him until the very end. I guess they don't want any of the jurors to know their is an alternate so they don't call in sick unless they are dying and they don't want the alternate to know so he or she pays attention as if they were a juror. Poor guy, though, he really wanted to participate and he got to the very end and they said, well, thanks but no thanks. How frustrating!
